MPT Study Plan: 2 Weeks to Pass

Two weeks is enough time to prepare for the Ontario MPT if you study consistently. This plan assumes roughly 90 minutes per day — about 20 hours total. All practice can be done for free using Numera.

Week 1: Content Review

Week 1 — Strand Drills

Day 1–2Number Sense: fractions, decimals, ratios, proportional reasoning
Day 3–4Algebra: expressions, equations, linear relations, graphing
Day 5Data & Probability: graphs, statistics, probability
Day 6Geometry & Measurement: area, perimeter, volume, transformations
Day 7Rest day — review notes, identify weak strands

Week 2: Mock Exams

Week 2 — Full Practice Tests

Day 8–9Re-drill weakest strand from Week 1 + pedagogy questions
Day 10First full mock exam (timed, 3 hours)
Day 11Review mock exam results — drill mistakes by strand
Day 12Second full mock exam (timed)
Day 13Final review — focus only on categories below 70%
Day 14Light review only — rest and prepare for test day
